We had so much fun in Galveston this weekend! My dad got us a sweet hotel right on the bay and it was beautiful! Great sunny, hot weather! Perfect for the beach :)
Casey and Lincoln did a lot of skim borading! Casey had never done it before, and he got pretty good at it by the end of the day. Flash flipped out everytime they would run and jump on it. It was quite hilarious.
Soupy pretty much stayed unter the umbrella, she was not a huge fan of the water. She did have fun chasing seagulls though.
Casey and Lincoln built Flash a sand fort. He was not too interested in staying in it though.
There were a lot of pelicans everywhere, but these guys were so cute sitting together
This is the Flagship hotel. It is really old and apprently it used to be the place to stay. It was severely damaged by Ike and is completely vacant but all the hotel furniture is still in there. You can see mattresses up againt some of the broken windows.

We had some awesome fried shrimp and seafood at Millers. Fabulous!

Actually kind of a funny story. We were debating back and forth if we even wanted to rent one. It was $25 for an hour. We just thought it might get old really fast. When we decided to finally do it, we went to pay and he only took cash. We only had a ten dollar bill so we walked away. Then a few minutes later we thought maybe he would let us ride for 20 or 30 minutes for $10 and sure enough he did! Before even riding away, my mom got her foot caught on an uncovered pedal and it totally ripped a gaping whole in her heel. She was not a fan of the bike ride! Overall, it was a pretty funny adventure. Casey manned the steering wheel and about tipped us off the Seawall several times.
Then we had a nice relaxing walk on the beach
Overall, it was such a great weekend. So excited we have a beach within a reasonable driving distance :)
